Block and specialization meetings. Topics address current and specialized questions, which concern donors. These meetings also exchange news, experience, and professional results. Participants include Donors Forum members, as well as, invited experts and donor organizations, not otherwise connected with the Donors Forum.
Interest groups . Such groups form within the Donors Forum and continuously discuss specific issues. Interests groups meet periodically.
Information exchange. Regarding donor activities, the Donors Forum distributes information through an electronic mailing list. Participants receive notices about future Russian and international philanthropic events, as well as, announcements about new programs, job vacancies and meetings.
Advancing the Standards for philanthropic organizations and private donors. This initiative takes several forms. All participant-organizations agree to the Code of Ethics — a document which summarizes basic ethical principles for donor organizations, thereby establishing fundamental conduct standards. The Donors Forum created the Position— a program-based document, which expresses members’ opinions about how to promote Russian philanthropy. Furthermore, the Donors Forum actively discusses philanthropic standards, directing the government’s and non-profit sector’s attention toward charity.
Representing Russian philanthropy. The Donors Forum encourages exchanging experience with international colleagues, thereby promoting future collaboration. These professional relationships will integrate Russia further into the international philanthropic network.
